Prior to joining Buchbauer & McGuire, P.C., Devon worked as an associate attorney in Loudoun County-based general practice law firms where she gained experience in numerous areas of the law, including domestic practice, civil litigation, criminal defense, and property transactions. Devon’s primary practice area has always been family law, however, handling matters including but not limited to separation, divorce (both uncontested and contested), equitable distribution, custody, visitation, spousal and child support, and modification actions. In addition, Devon has been a certified Guardian ad litem for children in Virginia since 2019. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Devon earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2011. She then worked at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina as a project manager for multicenter clinical research trials prior to enrolling at William & Mary Law School. During law school, Devon was a competitive powerlifter and, at her peak, had a deadlift one-rep-max of 365 lbs. When she isn’t working, Devon enjoys powerlifting (though not quite at the same level as during law school), spending time with her young daughter and being outdoors as much as possible.
